Fantasy Comic League May-Aug 2019

The Into the Knight Community has arrived to the Fantasy Comic League!

After many a trial run and testing the waters, the May 2019 Season of the Fantasy Comic League (FCL) has commenced, and I’m proud to say, dear Loonies, that you have a team that represents our fair group!

Inventively titled, #ITKMoonKnight 2019, our division is made up of five home grown, Moony mad, dedicated and passionate Loonies!

The ITK players choose four characters for their own team, with the combined five teams as a whole counting as the #ITKMoonKnight 2019 division.

At the beginning of each month, your players have to draft their team in the hope of scoring the highest points for that month – it’s both a friendly competition amongst the Loonies, but also a team effort to try and outscore the other divisions vying for the glory of FCL Champion!

Each week, over the course of the next four months, you can follow each Loony’s progress as well as the overall performance of the ITK division against other divisions such as #Asgard, #Midtown, #Asteroid M and #Genosha!

For this season, we’ve made the conscious decision of excluding Spider-man (Peter Parker) as an active character – basically, Spider-man is constantly a high scorer and MVP, so some view him as an unfair advantage. In our maiden season, we’ve chosen to try to keep the playing field as even as possible.

We’ll post the monthly reports and everything related to this season from the Fantasy Comic League website. Feel free to visit the site to understand the ins and outs of the Fantasy League and if you’re interested, drop us a line and we’ll see if we can form another team for next season!

Oh, and if you are wondering – “Why hasn’t anyone chosen Moon Knight???”….all I can say is that I’m sure we would, WHEN we get a new series! Unforunately, Moon Knight does not feature much at all in the current titles out there (and for the upcoming months)…but we’ll just have to wait and hope….

Dustin ‘Cold Case’ Kurtz – a valued Loony in our group and is no stranger to the podcast in lending his voice. His drafted team consists of a varied range of seasoned and new characters on the scene (the likes of Blade is old, but new!) which should prove interesting in the first few weeks. Let’s face it, War of the Realms has given MANY characters a chance to score points –

Dustin’s Team: Blade, Doctor Strange, Domino, Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes)

Tommy ‘The Man on the Streets’ Kawel – Tommy’s passion for Moon Knight and friendliness resulted in him being the first ever Loony to guest on the podcast! Ever since, he’s been involved as either a special guest, co-host for the show, writer and contributor to our ITK community. Tommy has chosen some very strong characters here – will be interesting to see just how much he’ll reap form the likes of Venom! –

Tommy’s Team: Venom, Spider-man (Miles Morales), Iron Man, She-Hulk

‘The Power of’ Chad Jernigan

Chad is another seasoned and regular guest to the podcast who contributes so much to the show as well as the ITK community. You can find him in the Loony Bin (the podcast’s 24/7 chat room via Facebook Messenger) or even also on our new Discord server! Chad’s choices are all close to his heart, but they aren’t just sentimental favourites…there’s points in these characters which will give the rest of the ITK members a good run for their money –

Chad’s Team: Winter Soldier, Loki, She-Hulk, X-23

High Priest of Khonshu, Connorshu Stephens

Connorshu jumps into the fray after his other High Priests had dabbled in the FCL in previous seasons. Without a doubt, Connorshu holds a VERY big card in his team, and that MVP is Wolverine. With already four appearances in the first week of May, the sky is the limit for how much Connorshu will earn with this top tier hero –

Connorshu’s Team: Wolverine, Ms. Marvel, Daredevil, Cyclops

High Priest of Khonshu, Reynaldo Gesmundo

High Priest of Khonshu Rey returns for his 3rd season in the FCL, but this time he’s part of the podcast’s very own division! Rounding out the division as a whole, Rey’s characters provide a bit of mongrel with the likes of the Punisher and Conan, but there’s also the Star Spangled Hero Captain America there to earn some points in his appearances in the upcoming Avengers, War of the Realms, Invaders and Cap’s own series title –
